Bidding Now Open for the Silent Tactic Flash Sale, Offering a 50% Ownership Interest

Bidding is now open for the “Silent Tactic Flash Sale,” offering a 50% ownership interest in graded stakes-winning three-year-old colt Silent Tactic. Bidding will close this Friday, August 14, at 12 p.m. ET.

Justin Casse, agent for John Oxley, consigns.

Trained by Hall of Famer Mark Casse, Silent Tactic recorded a career-high Beyer Speed Figure of 94 in his most recent start, the Jim Dandy S. (G2) on August 1 at Saratoga. Making his first start since finishing second in the Arkansas Derby (G1), the colt pressed the pace before finishing third, beaten two and a half lengths, going 1 1/8 miles. The effort pushed his career earnings past $1.1 million.

Silent Tactic has been the model of consistency, never finishing out of the money in seven career starts. At two, he won his debut going 1 1/16 miles over the synthetic at Woodbine.  He followed that up with a second-place finish in the Grey S. (G3), where he was beaten less than a length.

Moving to Oaklawn for his three-year-old campaign, Silent Tactic finished second in the Smarty Jones S. on January 3, followed by a dominant three-length victory in the Southwest S. (G3) from well off the pace a month later. He next finished second in the Rebel S. (G2), closing strongly to be beaten a nose before his runner-up finish in the Arkansas Derby (G1).

Silent Tactic exited the Jim Dandy S. (G2) in good order and is now targeting the Travers S. (G1) at Saratoga on August 29. He is stabled at Saratoga Race Course and is available for inspection by appointment.

“This is a very exciting offering, a fifty-percent ownership interest in a graded stakes-winning millionaire three-year-old colt that is Travers-bound,” said Leif Aaron, Fasig-Tipton Director of Digital Sales. “His prospective buyer not only has a ticket to the Travers Stakes, but several other exciting races down the road, including the Breeders’ Cup Classic, Pegasus World Cup, Saudi Cup, and Dubai World Cup. These opportunities do not come along very often.”
