Hip 85, a colt by Medaglia d'Oro, sold for $320,000 at the Kentucky October Yearlings sale. The dark bay or brown colt was purchased by Quarter Pole Enterprises from the consignment of Baccari Bloodstock LLC, agent.

Medaglia d'Oro is the sire of top male runners such as Australian champion Vancouver (AUS), Breeders' Cup Turf (G1) victor Talismanic (GB), dual-surface Grade 1 winner Mshawish, and recent Grade/Group 1 winning males Higher Power and Crown Prosecutor (AUS).

This colt is the first foal out Regret S. (G3) winner Auntie Joy, one of Uncle Mo's exceptional first crop graded stakes winners, which propelled him to Leading Freshman Sire honors in 2015. Auntie Joy, a winner at 2 and 3 who won or placed in three graded stakes, is a half-sister to multiple graded stakes winner Divine Oath.

This colt from third dam is Pennant Champion, a full sister to Grade 1 winners Miners Mark and Traditionally, out of champion Personal Ensign. This is the immediate family of Broodmare of the Year Personal Flag, champion Storm Flag Flying, and Grade 1 winner My Flag.

Hip 85 was bred in Kentucky by Green Lantern Stables LLC.
