Regally Bred Daughter of Tapit to Rock Ridge for $245,000

Hip 313, a regally bred filly by Tapit, sold for $245,000 during the first session of the Kentucky October Yearlings sale. The chestnut filly was purchased by Rock Ridge Thoroughbreds LLC from the consignment of Eaton Sales, agent for Stonestreet Bred & Raised.

Three-time Leading Sire Tapit is the sire of seven champions to date, including Untapable, Unique Bella, and Stardom Bound, as well as Grade 1 winners Tapitsfly, Joygul Victory, and Careless Jewel.

This filly is out of Eclipse Champion Turf Female Dayatthespa. That mare won three Grade 1 events, including the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1), among her 11 wins from 17 starts. She retired with earnings of $2,248,000. The immediate family includes champion, Grade 1 winner, and sire Hat Trick (JPN).
