Quality Road has four Grade 1 winners to date in 2019, and is the leading North American sire by that metric. Those Grade 1 winners include Pegasus World Cup Invitational S. (G1) winner City of Light and Santa Anita Derby (G1) winner Roadster, as well as Bellafina and Dunbar Road.

This colt is out a the Empire Maker mare Unforgettable, already the dam of four winners, including Memorable, a winner this year at 2 with earnings approaching $100,000. Dam is a half-sister to eight winners, including Grade 2 winner Academy Award; graded stakes winner Statuette, dam of stakes winner Tomahawk; and graded stakes winner Good Mood, herself the granddam of Grade 1 winner Golden Ticket. This is the immediate family of Grade1 winners Well Chosen and Telling.
