The Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training sale has grown in numbers and popularity over the years, buoyed by a constant stream of successful graduates and the benefits of showing on a dirt track in North America’s most racing-rich region.
Held in Timonium, Maryland, only a short drive from Pimlico, the sale’s under tack show and sale dates bookend the festivities of the Preakness S. (G1), the second jewel of the Triple Crown, and regularly attracts top buyers and sellers both nationwide and regional.
Recent graduates of the Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training sale include 2018 Grade 1 winners Army Mule (Carter H.), Bowies Hero (Frank E. Kilroe Mile S.), Fourstar Crook (Flower Bowl), and Discreet Lover (Jockey Club Gold Cup S.).
