Into Mischief Filly Sells for Record-Shattering $1.8 Million
Hip 360, a filly by Into Mischief, shattered the Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training sale record when sold for $1,800,000 early Tuesday afternoon. The record-breaking bay filly was purchased by Donato Lanni, agent for Michael Lund Petersen from the consignment of Bobby Dodd, agent after working an eighth in 10.0 during the under tack show (video). This marks the fifth consecutive year that a juvenile has sold for seven figures at this sale.
This filly is by Into Mischief, sire of recent Humana Distaff S. (G1) winner Mia Mischief, as well as champion Miss Mischief, and graded stakes winning fillies Miss Sunset, Golden Mischief, and Gas Station Sushi, among others.
Hip 360 is out of Peggy Jane, a stakes placed winner by Kafwain, who is already the dam of two winners from as many foals to race. Third dam is stakes winner Grand Splash, who produced 11 foals, all winners, including multiple stakes winner Splasha (dam of multiple stakes winner Grand Cash) and stakes winner Murani, who three winners include champion, stakes winner, and multiple Grade 1 placed Dynamic Sky.
