Martin Schwartz to $475,000 for Uncle Mo Colt
Hip 236, a colt by champion sire Uncle Mo, sold for $475,000 during the Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training sale. The dark bay or brown colt was purchased by Martin Schwartz from the consignment of Eddie Woods, agent after working an eighth in 10:2 (video).
This colt is by champion juvenile and champion freshman sire Uncle Mo, whose first five crops of racing age include three champions and 23 graded stakes winners, include top colts like champion and Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Nyquist and Grade 1 winners Outwork and Mo Town.
Hip 236 is a half-brother to two winners from as many to race out of the Unbridled’s Song mare Lady Godiva, including Grade 1 winner Leofric and Box of Chocolates. Second dam also produced multiple graded stakes winner Multiple Choice and stakes placed Proposal, dam of four stakes winners, including two bred on the same cross as Lady Godiva. This is the immediate family of Grade 1 winners Golden Ticket and Telling.
