Iron Orchard sells for $2,500,000 in Fall Flash Sale on Fasig-Tipton Digital

The Fall Flash Sale on Fasig-Tipton Digital closed Thursday evening after six days of bidding that began on October 10.

Iron Orchard (hip 1) sold for $2,500,000 to KatieRich Farms.  The two-year-old daughter of Authentic entered the sale off a victory in the Frizette S. (G1) on October 4 to remain undefeated in three career starts.  She also took her debut at Saratoga on July 3 by 5 ½ lengths, and the Seeking the Ante S. at Saratoga by 6 ¾ lengths. Iron Orchard was consigned by her trainer, Danny Gargan, as agent.

Haulin Ice (hip 2) was bought back on a final bid of $875,000. The four-year-old filly won her most recent start on September 20, the Princess Rooney S. (G3) at Gulfstream Park, a Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” race for the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1).  She was consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent, and is still available for purchase post-sale.

Commented Leif Aaron, Fasig-Tipton’s Director of Digital Sales: “What a sale! It has been a thrill to offer an undefeated Grade 1 winning and Breeders’ Cup bound filly in Iron Orchard for her connections. We wish KatieRich the best of luck with her and will be rooting her on in the Breeders’ Cup and beyond.”

Aaron continued: “While we were disappointed to have not sold Haulin Ice, she is a quality filly and still available for purchase post-sale through our platform.”

Fasig-Tipton’s next digital sale is its December Digital Sale, scheduled for December 4-9. Entries close on November 19.
