WinStar to $750,000 for Malibu Moon Filly

Hip 20, a filly by MALIBU MOON, sold for $750,000 early at the 2019 Gulfstream Sale after working an eighth in 10:0 (video). The dark bay or brown filly was purchased by WinStar Farm from the consignment of Wavertree Stables, agent.

This filly is out of multiple winner producing GIANT’S CAUSEWAY mare DEJA VU. That mare is out of multiple stakes winner SASSY PANTS, making her a half-sister to Grade 1 winners MADCAP ESCAPADE and DUBAI ESCAPADE, as well as to stakes winner REAL ESTATE. MADCAP ESCAPADE is the dam of Grade 1 winning juvenile MI SUENO, who is in turn the dam of Japanese graded stakes winner MI SUERTE.
