$1,300,000 for Quick Curlin Filly

Hip 119, a filly by CURLIN sold for $1,300,000 to take the lead at the 2019 Gulfstream Sale after working an eighth in 10:0 (video). The bay filly was purchased by Ben McElroy, agent for KSI & M.V. Magnier from the consignment of Paul Sharp, agent.

By two-time Horse of the Year CURLIN, this filly is out of Group 2 winner SARASOTA (ARG), who has already produced six winners from as many to race. Those half-siblings to this filly include Grade 1 winner and millionaire SALUTOS AMIGOS and Grade 2 winner SARAH’S SECRET. The immediate family includes two-time champion and Grade 1 winner SOLYLUZ.

Hip 119 was a $470,000 purchase at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale.
