Katsumi Yoshida to $1,500,000 for Finley'sluckycharm
FINLEY’SLUCKYCHARM, winner of this year’s Madison S. (G1), sold for $1,500,000 at The November Sale. Offered as Hip 194, the five-year-old daughter of TWIRLING CANDY was purchased by Katsumi Yoshida from the consignment of Taylor Made Sales Agency.
FINLEY’SLUCKYCHARM broke her maiden first time out at two, then captured the Dream Supreme S. at three and closed that season with a near miss in the La Brea S. (G1). At four, she captured the Thoroughbred Club of America S. (G2), Winning Colors S. (G3), and Chicago H. (G3). At five this year, she secured her Grade 1 fame in the Madison S. (G1) and added the Honorable Miss H. (G2) to her win column. She won 11 of 19 starts for owner Carl R. Moore and trainer Bret Calhoun, and was sold as a racing and/or broodmare prospect.
