Dam of Monomoy Girl to Bridlewood for $1,850,000
DRUMETTE, dam of yesterday’s Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1) winner MONOMOY GIRL, sold for $1,850,000 at The November Sale. Offered as Hip 153, DRUMETTE was purchased in foal to MASTERY by Bridlewood Farm from the consignment of Gainesway.
A 10-year-old daughter of HENNY HUGHES, DRUMETTE has produced three winners from as many to race, led by multiple Grade 1 winner and top ranked three-year-old of 2018 MONOMOY GIRL. That filly, by TAPIZAR, is a six-time graded stakes winner this year, with five at the top level, including the Kentucky Oaks (G1). She has earned nearly $3,000,000 to date.
A winner herself, DRUMETTE is a half-sister to graded stakes winner DRUM MAJOR out of the multiple stakes winner ENDLESS PARADE. The immediate family includes Champion Two-Year-Old filly HEAVENLY CAUSE. DRUMETTE is carrying a foal from the first crop of MASTERY, winner of last term’s Los Alamitos Cash Call Futurity (G1) and a multiple graded stakes winner early this year.
