Uncle Mo Filly Makes 'Coin' at Gulfstream Sale
Hip 9, a filly by UNCLE MO, got the bidding started early at the 2019 Gulfstream Sale when sold for $800,000 off a 9:4 work (video). The bay filly was purchased by Ben McElroy, agent for KSI from the consignment of Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds, agent.
By UNCLE MO, the sire of Grade 1 winning Gulfstream Sale grads NYQUIST and DREAM TREE, this filly is the second foal out of the MONTJEU mare COIN BROKER (IRE). That mare is out of Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) winner CASH RUN, making her a half sister to GREAT WAR EAGLE, a group placed stakes winner in Ireland, and to the dam of current Japanese stakes performer BEST MACHO. She hails from the immediate family of millionaire SEWICKLEY (G1W), influential sire FORESTRY (G1W), and Grade 1 winner SHARED INTEREST.
