Indiana Derby placed Informed Patriot added to July Selected Horses of Racing Age
Informed Patriot, who ran third in yesterday's Indiana Derby (G3), has been supplemented to tomorrow's Fasig-Tipton July Selected Horses of Racing Age sale. He is catalogued as hip 523 with Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.
The three-year-old son of Hard Spun earned his first graded blacktype in last year's Street Sense S. (G3) at Churchill Downs, then captured the Bathhouse Row S. at Oaklawn Park in April. Won or placed in six of 10 starts to date with earnings of nearly $350,000, Informed Patriot has raced exclusively in stakes company since placing in the Smarty Jones S. on January 1.
Informed Patriot is also a full brother to Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1) victor Spun to Run out of Yawkey Way (Grand Slam), who is six-for-six winners from runners, four of them blacktype stakes horses.
Informed Patriot will be available for inspection tomorrow at Barn 12.
"Informed Patriot is an exciting addition to the catalogue," said Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning. "He's a proven stakes horse with plenty of opportunities available to him this summer and fall in addition to being a full brother to a Grade 1 winner."
The July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale will take place this coming Monday, July 8, beginning at 3 pm. On the following day – Tuesday, July 9 – Fasig-Tipton will conduct The July Sale of Selected Yearlings beginning at 10 am.
Online bidding and phone bidding will be available for all sales.
