American Pharoah Colt to Team Casse for $385,000
Hip 1124, a colt from the second crop of American Pharoah, sold for $385,000 during the third session of the Kentucky October Yearlings sale. The bay colt was purchased by Team Casse, agent from the consignment of Paramount Sales, agent.
American Pharoah won the Triple Crown and the Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) in 2015, breaking a 37-year Triple Crown drought. Eclipse Champion at 2 and 3 and Horse of the Year at 3, American Pharoah is the current Leading Freshman Sire. He has Grade 2 winner Sweet Melania and Group 3 winner Prix du Bois already to his credit, as well as stakes winners Another Miracle and Four Wheel Drive, and Group 1 placed Monarch of Egypt.
This colt is out of a Malibu Moon daughter of multiple graded stakes winner Stylish, who earned nearly $600,000 on the track. Stylish is the dam of three winners, including the dam of stakes winner Multiplayer. Fourth dam is L'Attrayante (FR), winner of the French One Thousand Guineas (G1) and the Irish One Thousand Guineas (G1). The immediate family also includes Group 1 winners Daytona (IRE) and Madeleine's Dream.
Hip 1124 was bred in Kentucky by Springhouse Farm, Crosshaven Bloodstock, and Circular Rd Breeders.
