Katie Rich Farm to $200,000 for Half to Tapizar

TAKING AIM (Hip 476), a winning half-sister to TAPIZAR, sold for $200,000 during the second session of the Kentucky Winter Mixed sale. The four-year-old filly was purchased by Katie Rich Stable from the consignment of Gainesway, agent.

By TRAPPE SHOT, Taking Aim is a three parts sister to TAPIZAR (TAPIT), Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) and sire of last year’s Champion Three-Year-Old Filly MONOMOY GIRL. She is three parts sister to the dam of graded stakes placed BATTALION RUNNER and OCEANWAVE and stakes placed TIZNOBLE.

Taking Aim debuted at three in October, and was placed in all three of her starts in maiden special weight company last year. She has earned $24,840 to date for owner Oak Ridge Farm and trainer Linda Rice.

This mare’s immediate family includes broodmare of the year FUN HOUSE, champion UNTAPABLE, and Grade 1 winners PYRO, CUVEE, and PADDY O’PRADO.
