Kentucky Winter Mixed Catalogue Now Online

kentucky winter mixed catalogue coverFasig-Tipton has catalogued 465 entries for the main catalogue of its Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale, to be held on Monday and Tuesday, February 6 and 7, in Lexington, Kentucky.  Sessions will begin each day at 10 am.

Entries remain open for the sale’s supplemental catalogue, which will be available online and on the sales grounds.  Fasig-Tipton will continue to accept supplemental entries over the next few weeks.

Hips 1-300 will be offered in the Monday session.  Hips 301, through the supplemental catalogue, will be offered in the Tuesday session.

“As the last mixed sale before the start of breeding season, Kentucky Winter Mixed is a very important sale on the Thoroughbred auction calendar,” said Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning.  “This year’s catalogue offers another quality group of stakes credentialed racing and broodmare prospects and proven producers.  The strength of covering sires and yearling sires has increased once again, as well.”

Covering sires represented in the catalogue include: American Pharoah, Army Mule, Blame, Bolt d’Oro, Candy Ride, Girvin, Good Magic, Justify, Liam’s Map, Maxfield, Midshipman, Mitole, Not This Time, Oscar Performance, Practical Joke, Tapwrit, Tiz the Law, Twirling Candy, Violence, Volatile, War of Will, and Yaupon.

Sires of yearlings catalogued include: Army Mule, Audible, Bolt d’Oro, Candy Ride, Gift Box, Global Campaign, Good Magic, Hard Spun, Improbable, Liam’s Map, Maclean’s Music, Malibu Moon, McKinzie, Midshipman, Mitole, Munnings, Nyquist, Oscar Performance, Practical Joke, Sharp Azteca, Tapwrit, Tiz the Law, Upstart, Vekoma, War Front, and War of Will.

This year’s catalogue cover features Leave No Trace, winner of the 2022 Spinaway Stakes (G1).  The back cover features Hot Rod Charlie, Grade 1 winner and multiple graded stakes winner; as well as Actuator and Adare Manor, winners of last year’s Indiana Derby (G3) and Las Virgenes S. (G3), respectively.

“Buyers have had tremendous success with Kentucky Winter Mixed purchases in recent years, both on the racetrack and in the sales ring,” noted Browning. 

The main catalogue for Kentucky Winter Mixed may now be viewed online.  Print catalogues will be available beginning January 16.  The catalogue will also be available via the equineline sales catalogue app.
