Hip 254, a colt from the first crop of Connect, sold for $140,000 during the first session of the Kentucky Winter Mixed sale. The dark bay or brown colt was purchased by Blue Sky Stable from the consignment of Bluewater Sales, agent.

Connect, a son of two-time Horse of the Year Curlin, earned $1,370,000 on the track and won three graded stakes, including the Cigar Mile H. (G1) against older males as a three-year-old. This colt is out of the Posse mare She Be Keene, already the dam of two winners. Dam is a half-sister to Champion Two-Year-Old filly She Be Wild. This is the immediate family of champion Portcullis and Grade 1 winner Carson Hollow.

Hip 254 was bred in Kentucky by Nancy Mazzoni.
