Quality Road Colt to Justin Casse for $500,000
Hip 72, a colt by Quality Road, sold for $500,000 at The November Sale. The bay colt was purchased by Justin Casse, agent from the consignment of Lane's End, agent for Kinsman Farm.
Quality Road is the sire of no less than four Grade 1 winners this year, including Santa Anita Derby (G1) winner Roadster and Pegasus World Cup Invitational S. (G1) winner City of Light, as well as fillies Bellafina and Dunbar Road.
This colt is out of the stakes placed Tiznow mare Tiz So Sweet. She is notably a half-sister to Lemon Bay, dam of multiple stakes winner Top Quality, by this colt's sire. Second dam is Grade 2 winner Swee Fervor. The immediate family includes Grade 2 winning millionaire and two-time Leading Sire Concerto and track record setting graded stakes winner Illusioned.
Hip 72 was bred in Kentucky by Kinsman Farm.
