War Front Filly Sells for $275,000
Hip 762, a filly War Front, sold for $275,000 towards the end of the second session of the Kentucky October Yearlings sale. The gray or roan filly was purchased by Cotton Plant Inc. from the consignment of Eaton Sales, agent.
War Front is the sire in 2019 of Grade 1 winners Omaha Beach and War of Will. He is also responsible for Grade/Group 1 winners Roly Poly and Avenge. This filly is out of the Group 1 placed Group 2 winner Laughing Lashes, by Mr. Greeley. That mare is already the dam of two winners. The immediate family includes multiple graded stakes winning millionaire Tejano Run, who was also second in the Kentucky Derby (G1) and third in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) and Oaklawn H. (G1). This is also the family of Grade 1 winner Sweet Loretta and Grade 2 and English Group 2 winner More Royal.
