Street Sense Colt to Vaccarezza for $290,000
Hip 647, a colt by Street Sense, sold for $290,000 to take the session lead during the second session of the Kentucky October Yearlings sale. The bay colt was purchased by Carlo Vaccarezza from the consignment of Hunter Valley Farm, agent.
Street Sense is sire this year of Whitney S. (G1) winner McKinzie and impressive Claibone Breeders' Futurity (G1) winner Maxfield. He is also the sire of Grade/Group 1 winning males Sense Of Occasion (AUS) and Hallowed Crown (AUS).
This colt is a half-brother to no less than five winners out of the winning Mr. Greeley mare Irish Connection. That dam's offspring include Grade 2 winner and multiple graded stakes winner Irish Jasper, a tough racemare who won eight of 16 starts and earned more than $560,000.
Hip 647 was bred in Kentucky by Godolphin and Mr. & Mrs. Robert E. Courtney Sr.
