Young Strikes Early for $350,000 Daughter of Medaglia d'Oro
Hip 18, a filly by Medaglia d'Oro, sold for $350,000 early during the first session the Kentucky October Yearlings sale. The gray or roan filly was purchased by Steven W. Young, agent from the consignment of Baccari Bloodstock LLC, agent.
Medaglia d'Oro is the sire of female Horses of the Year Rachel Alexandra and Wonder Gadot, multiple Eclipse Champion Songbird, and current Grade 1 winners Cambier Parc, Elate, and Flit (AUS).
This filly is out of Aguilera, a daughter of top broodmare sire Unbridled's Song. That mare has already produced three winners, including Grade 2 placed multiple stakes winner Bluegrass Singer. Aguilera is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner and millionaire Mr Melody and six other winners.
This is the immediate family of Grade 1 winner Kool Arrival and Grade 1 placed multiple graded stakes winner Klassy Kim.
Hip 18 was bred in Kentucky by Seclusive Farm LLC, Chester Prince, and Anne Prince.
