White Birch Farm, Magnier Strike Early for $800,000 American Pharoah Colt

Hip 129, a colt from the second crop of Triple Crown hero American Pharoah, sold for $800,000 early during the second session of The Saratoga Sale. The bay colt was purchased by White Birch Farm Inc & M.V. Magnier from the consignment of Hill 'n' Dale Sales Agency, agent.

This colt is by 2013 Saratoga Sale graduate American Pharoah, won eight Grade 1 events in his career, including the 2015 Kentucky Derby (G1), Preakness S. (G1), Belmont S. (G1), and Breeders' Cup Classic (G1), in which he set a new track record. American Pharoah was an Eclipse Champion at 2 and Champion and Horse of the Year at 3, and retired with career earnings of $8,650,300.

Hip 129 is the first foal out of Dogwood S. (G3) winner Super Majesty, a daughter of 2010 Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Super Saver. That mare is out Gins Majestic, by 1994 Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Go For Gin. Third dam is multiple stakes winner Lemhi Love, dam of Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) winner and millionaire Dancing Silks.

This February foal was bred in Kentucky by Baoma Corp.
